Start your own business and become a certified Escort Vehicle Operator to escort Oversized/overweight loads. This course provides the certification required by the North Carolina General Statutes for oversize/overweight vehicle escorts. You will learn about the escort driver requirements, skills training and take the examination. You will also be required to take a four hour defensive driving course offered at Blue Ridge Community College and approved by the Health & Safety Council of North Carolina before you can submit your Escort Vehicle Operation Application. Textbook and materials included in the cost of the course.
