Become a licensed Auto Emission/OBD inspector or renew an existing license. This course meets the training requirements for the Auto Emission Inspection Program administered by the NC Division of Motor Vehicles, License and Theft Bureau. You must attend all 8-hour of the course and pass a written and hands-on state certification exam administered in class to become a licensed inspector or renew your existing license. You will also be required to conduct an emissions inspection of a motor vehicle during class to successfully complete the course.
