Thyme in the Garden

Herbs are historically important for culinary, medicinal, and many more uses. This course focuses on the importance of herbs in today’s gardens, including repelling deer and rabbits, attracting pollinators and perfuming garden space. We will discuss maintenance and elements of design. Instructor Mickey Derr will cover her favorite thyme varieties in detail including where to find them locally and how to use them as evergreen groundcovers here in WNC. To help others enjoy herbs in their gardens, the instructor will share her successes and failures.
